Chris's main guitar is a Turner 74CE which has a solid Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard. It's fitted with a stock B-Band pickup system and was purchased from the Turner Guitar rep in 2005, having been his demo model. For slide work Chris uses open D tuning on an Aria FE-60. This guitar was purchased in 1984 and has the same wood construction as the Turner but with a Type F Elecord pickup fitted. Chris prefers a heavy glass slide and is using a Chickenbone John bottleneck (from E-Bay)....... until he breaks it. Both guitars are played through an AER Compact 60/2 amplifier. Chris also has a Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, Framus semi-acoustic and a couple of more non-descript instruments. |
